Sacred Heart Institute of Management and Technology (SHIMT), Naipalapur, Sitapur is a self financed, institution of minority status in accordance with the provisions of Article 30 (1) of the Constitution of India (rights of minorities to establish and administer educational institutions), and affiliated to the Gautam Buddh Technical University Lucknow, U.P. It was established by Rev. Fr. Gerard Perazzini OFM (Cap), who was also the founder Principal of Sacred Heart Inter College, Sitapur. Sacred Heart Institute of Management and Technology aims at providing quality education to the youth by imparting a healthy and peaceful atmosphere of intellectual and distinctive formation. It was established in July 2001 to impart quality education and training to the students in the field of Management & Software Technology. It is managed and run by the religious society of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), Bijnor Province. The Carmelites of Mary Immaculate, a religious congregation founded in 1831 at Mannanam in Kerala by Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara, is a spiritual movement with social commitment in education, health and other fields of human interaction. It runs around 300 educational institutions which include a university, engineering, technical, medical, management, social, and arts & science colleges in India apart from hospitals/health centres (48), social/rural development centres (162), cultural/communication centres (21) and publishing/printing houses (49) as part of its missions.
